A non-profit organization of young Iranian-Americans based in Southern California, dedicated to humanitarian and cultural events.
NIAS is a non-profit organization, following the footsteps of the plethora of groups donating member’s time, money and devotion to assisting the community and humanitarian relief. Since the founding of NIAS in 2001 we have focused on non-profit, non-partisan, non-political and non-sectarian causes. All members of NIAS work as volunteers and are committed to its mission of providing the Iranian-American community opportunities to educate, and work together in bringing awareness to those causes which affect all society. We believe that within our great community, we can make a tremendous difference by unifying, educating ourselves, providing support and services. We intend on achieving our goal through networking, social events, financial sponsorships and professional guidance.

NIAS held different activates to donate the funds to organization such as Orangewood Children’s Home, a shelter for children who have been taken away from their homes for reasons such as physical/emotional abuse, neglect, etc. NIAS donated specially designed computer voice-activated messages and a Braille keyboard to Mohebi School for blind children in Iran. We also participated at “Race for the Cure” walk held on Newport Beach, California each year.

NIAS presented first Volleyball Tournament in Orange County and donated the proceeds from this event to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation was founded on a promise made between two sisters, Susan Goodman Komen and Nancy Goodman Brinker. NIAS and its members participated in "Race for the Cure" Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. On behalf of everyone at NIAS we would like to thank everyone who participated and generously donated to this life changing event.NIAS and its members sponsored a Christmas Drive benefitting the Children of CASA. CASA serves children who, for their own protection, have been removed from their homes and placed in foster care. Judges refer the most serious cases of child abuse and neglect to CASA so that one volunteer can consistently spend time with one child, building a relationship and ensuring that each child is receiving the support and attention he or she needs and deserves while going through the foster care process.
